Bury and Norwich Post, 6 July 1836. Robert Marjoram and Wm. Marjoram, for breaking into the dwelling-house of the late Saml. Gross, Gent, of Pettistree, the of Jan. last and stealing a stone bottle, a bason, 3 hams, I2 lbs. of pickled pork, pigs' faces a bullock's tongue, a dead turkey, a quantity of salt beef, butter, cheese, plum-cake, stewed beef, and divers other articles, were found guilty, and sentenced to transported for 14 years. Bury and Norwich Post, 6 July 1836. On Tuesday se'nnight, the following convicts were removed from the County Gaol, Ipswich, to be put on board the Leviathan hulk Portsmouth: Joshua Eighteen and James Green, to be transported for life ; Robert and Wm. Marjoram, for 14 years; and James Scotchmer, William Turner, Charles Pennell, Robert Ditton, Jas. Palmer, and Joseph Buckingham, for 7 years. Bury and Norwich Post, 27 July 1836.

Baptised at Bredfield, Suffolk, England on 18 June 1785. Married (2nd) Frances "Fanny" Crow(e) at Ufford, Suffolk, England on 12 October 1814. Returned to England. Immigrated with wife Fanny to NSW on board "Marchioness of Londonderry" (Unassisted Immigrants) arriving 16 August 1853.

Robert Marjoram was 49 years old when transported for burglary, from the house of Samuel Gross. Robert's son William was transported at the same time for the same crime. 30/3/1812: Married Lucy Rowling. Lucy and a son both died 2 years later. 12/10/1814: Married Frances Crowe. They had 10 children. 1844: TOL Port Stephens/Newcastle. Then made his way to Bathurst. 25/11/1851: COF. 20/12/1851: Departed Sydney on the ALERT for London. Whilst in London, one of his daughters got married and Robert was there to witness that. Also his son Robert married Lydia Moss. By 1855 Robert, his wife Frances, son Robert and Lydia were all back in Bathurst. 1864: Frances died. 1866: Robert died.
