Had served 3 months + hard labour in 1827. Qu Sessions 18 Oct 1847: Convicted of stealing a quantity of wheat from Richard Beale of Headley, plus a quantity of wheat from John Chalcraft of Headley. To 'hulk'. Voyage as above. Not mentioned in medical journal on voyage. Ticket of Leave: 21 June 1853, Hobart. Death recorded 3 September 1880 Hobart General Hospital, inquest = cancer of the stomach, registered 1 October 1880. Had married Charlotte Aldred 13 October 1835: Headley, Hampshire, England. Children: Samuel 1838, Mary 1839, Harriet 1842, Sarah 1845 died 1849. George 1848 probably his. Charlotte married Edward Shrubb, apparently, after they had a daughter. Need to find a marriage certificate if this happened.
