Moreton Bay Convict Register. John McCullock was one of 49 male convicts who arrived at Moreton Bay on 1st October 1830, per “Governor Phillip”. John McCullock, Sir Gody. Webster (2), Tried at Cork City, 11 Dec 1828, for Stealing a watch, 7 years. Lab. & Groom. Colonial Conviction: Gen. Sess. Sydney, 3 Aug 1830, Stolen Govt. blankets in possession, 3 years, Run. Run, 22 Nov1830. Description: John McCullock, native of Monaghan, age 26, 5 ft 6. Sallow comp. Brown hair, lt hazle eyes, catholic. Note: the year (1828) of his original conviction is incorrect, but this is how it is recorded in the original Moreton Bay register.
