Family connections for John (McKeon) are: McKEON John (McKeon) was tried at Meath co. Ireland Spring Sessions 1800, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 7 1802 after a voyage of 7months on ATLAS; he was Catholic. He became a labourer at Airds; where he was granted 60acres. He had a relationship with Mary (Kelly her third relationship). He was Free by Servitude by 1805. He was issued his Ticket of Leave item 4/4427 on 1 1 1811. He was recorded in 1828, as (McCone), with his family at Airds. He died >1828 at Campbelltown & was buried there. She was tried in Dublin Ireland in March 1793, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 1 2 1796 after a voyage of 6months on MARQUIS CORNWALLIS; she was Catholic. She had a first (1of3) relationship with Humphrey (Blackburn) & produced a child. She was Free by Servitude by 1804. She, as Maria, had a second (2of3) relationship with Patrick (Short) & produced 4children. She was recorded in 1828, as Sarah, with her family at Airds. She died on 30 11 1832 age about53 at Campbelltown mother of maybe 9children & was buried at St Johns Campbelltown. She was recorded in 1828 with her parents at Airds. She married Michael (Curtin) on 13 5 1834 & produced 10children. She died on 30 5 1878 age 65+ at Manyans Creek. ..Michael (Curtin) was born about 1800 in Cork co. Ireland & became a reaper. He was tried for stealing a cow at Cork city Ireland in 1821, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 8 11 1822 after a voyage of 4.5months on MANGLES; while on board he was put on sick list for 6days with acute pain in the forehead. He was sent to Airds for distribution; he was 5'10" sallow complexion brown hair blue eyes. He was issued his Ticket of Leave no.27/849 on 10 12 1827. McKeon John b c 1769 Meath Ireland arrived 6 July 1802 on Atlas Convict, Rel RC, Occupation Labourer at Airds NSW, Farmer, d after 1828 at Campbelltown and buried at Campbelltown, married Sarah (Mary) Short nee Kelly (Jackson) on 24 December 1810 at St Mathew's Anglican Church, Windsor NSW. Sarah (Mary) Kelly (Jackson) b c1779 Ireland arrived 11 February 1796 Marquis Cornwallis, convict, Rel RC, died 30 November 1832 Campbelltown NSW, buried St John's Campbelltown NSW. Children Martin b 7/10/1811 d 7/2/1812 (Infant) Ann Sarah b 11/5/1813 Airds NSW d 30/5/1878 Manyans Creek NSW married Michael Curtin per Mangles 1822.
