The Maitland Mercury and Hunter River General Advertiser (NSW : 1843 - 1893) Tue 23 Sep 1856 Page 3 BATHURST CIRCUIT COURT. Owen Main was indicted for stealing 21 sheep, the property of Owen William Quinn. Main sold 21 out of a flock of 1S30 fat wethers he was driving to Sydney for Mr. Quinn. Guilty ; five years on the roads. New South Wales, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869 for Owen Mayanne no 60/1 dated 31/1/1860, Allowed to remain for 6 months in the Lachlan district in the service of C a massie. Had a previous ToL 47/126 dated 8/2/1847, cancelled 15/9/1856 for sheep stealing and given 5 years on the roads, Bathurst Court. Notes Cancelled for absence master 19/9/1864 died June 1865. Coroner stated died from natural causes, disease of the lungs New South Wales Government Gazette (Sydney, NSW : 1832 - 1900) Fri 10 Feb 1860 [Issue No.27] Page 293 Government Gazette Notices THE undermentioned Convicts have been allowed tickets of leave for the Districts under which their names appear. Queanbeyan Owen Maynnee, per ship "John Barry" (4) ; arrived 1839; native place, county Mayo; trade, tailor and soldier; age 49 years, 5 feet 11 & inches high, dark ruddy complexion, much freckled and slighty pox-pitted, black hair, hazel eyes, eyebrows meeting; scar on top black hair, hazel eves, eyebrows meeting; scar on top of left side of forehead, scar on bridge of nose, another outside the left eye, breast and arms freckled.
