A Trial of George took place at the Central Criminal Court, London on 17th September 1838 (he was 27 years old at the time). The offence is alleged to have taken place on 30th August 1838. The Canton set sale from on 22nd September 1839, arriving in Tasmania on 12th January 1840. Much of George's further life is documented within Tasmanian Gov sources. He had a number of children with Mary Downing (O'Neale, Panton). They married on 28th August 1858, Fingal, Tasmania.
