Benjamin Molloy was 19 years old, single and his native place was Dublin. 1842: TOL Windsor 23/4/1845: COF 14/2/1852: Benjamin was a Blacksmith in Bathurst and was robbed of his hat and a £1 note by John Box who was sent for trial. 3/1/1855: At Armidale, took a boy to the police magistrate for stealing half a £10 note. (Seems Benjamin was a bit of a drinker and womaniser). 12/6/1855: Susan Clarke, who had been living with Benjamin as man and wife, took his horse, bridle and saddle to buy meat (he was living in Pitt Town) but she ran off with a Martin Kilduff, who refused to return the horse. The Magistrate discharged the prisoners. 1858: Married Honora Lennen at Manning River. At the time of his death, he had 5 sons and 2 daughters. 2/11/1887: The friends of Benjamin Molloy are invited to attend the funeral of her late beloved husband, Benjamin Molloy, blacksmith, late of Mudgee and Gulgong, to move from his residence 23 Gipp Street, Surrey Hills, for the R.C. cemetery, Waverley. 18/11/1908: Honorah Molloy, relict of the late Benjamin Molloy of Gulgong, aged 70 years, at her residence 6 Thurlow St., Redfern.
