MONKS William (Monks) was tried at Bristol Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 14years & arrived in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) as a convict on 11 5 1819 after a voyage of 6months on HIBERNIA. He had a first relationship with Ann (Handlin).>>> [Some details taken from this Website.] an Elizabeth (Hanlon) was born on 7 5 1805 & baptised on 14 7 1805 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. As Ann (Handlin) she married secondly Joseph (Bennett) on 2 10 1827 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She produced at least 5children in her lifetime-all girls.
