Family connections for William (Monks) are: Amendments added Jun 2025. MONKS William (Monks) was tried at Bristol Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 14years & arrived in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) as a convict on 11 5 1819 after a voyage of 6months on HIBERNIA. He had a first relationship with Ann (Handlin).>>> [Some details taken from this Website.] an Elizabeth (Hanlon) was born on 7 5 1805 & baptised on 14 7 1805 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. As Ann (Handlin) she married secondly Joseph (Bennett) on 2 10 1827 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She produced at least 5children in her lifetime-all girls. [Noted dates don't quite fit.] Details of Elizabeth (Hanlon)s family are given in entry for John (Handlin MINERVA 1800) on this Website. William (Monks) & Ann (Handlin) produced 3children: girls 1.Mary Handlin (Monks) at Parramatta was born on 25 12 1822 & baptised on 25 12 1822 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. 2.Martha (Monks) was born in 1824 & baptised on 8 3 1825 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. 3.Sarah (Monks) was born on 1 2 1825 at Parramatta & baptised on 22 5 1825 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. .. >>>William (Monks) had a second relationship with Sarah Ann (Snowden). He produced 4children in his lifetime. Sarah Ann (Snowden) was born on 13 8 1809 & baptised on 29 10 1810 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She married secondly John (Dean) & produced at least 4children.
