County of Antrim Assizes, Bernard Murphy, for stealing a purse and money to the amount of 1s. 6d. the property of Pat. Laverty, on 2d July, at at Ballyinouey -Prosecutor lost his purse in the potato market - felt somebody at his pocket, and on turning round he saw prisoner drop his purse. William Boreland saw prisoner take the purse from Laverty's pocket - seized him, and gave him up to the police. Guilty - seven years transportation.  Belfast News-Letter, 14 Aug 1829.
