married Susanna Scott 1824 or 1825 Horfield Gloucestershire. Most unusually, she leaves a will describing her husband (then living) as 'late of the city of Bristol' (we now know why!). But the shame must have contributed to her early death, in 1840. Susanna was from Ditcheat Somerset, born 1792. The extent of the fraud was about £10,000 with Northcote's partner Richard Salter.
