He was tried at Dublin city Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW on 2 7 1811 after a voyage of 7months on PROVIDENCE; he was Catholic. In 1818 he was listed to receive a land grant-perhaps at Campbelltown. He had a relationship with Elizabeth (Ha/enley her second relationship) whom he later married. He was Free by Servitude by 1814. After 1821 he & his family were on stores-signalling financial difficulty. He is recorded in 1825 with his family as landholder at Campbelltown. He, age31, was living at Bunbury Curran when he married Elizabeth (Ha/enley age36) on 4 11 1826 at St Marys RC Sydney-both living at Bunbury Curran. Charles, 1813, 7 years, housekeeper, Campbelltown. # Note Margaret, the eldest child was not actually a child of Peter. She was born aboard ship when her mother was transported - father unknown - She sometimes went by the name Hanley and sometimes Finnamore.
