Colonial Secretary Index. POLLARD, Robert. Per "Atlas", 1816 1825 Servant of Edward Gray of Liverpool; testimony as to his character for a ticket of leave (Reel 6027; 4/1716.1 pp.89-90) 1825. Servant of Edward Gray of Liverpool; testimony as to his character for a ticket of leave. Lincoln GD 11 March 1815, Life. This is to certify that Robert Pollard who came by the Ship Atlas which arrived in the year 1816, has not been convicted of any misdemeanour in the Colony; but is, to our certain belief, an honest, sober, and industrious Character, having served faithfully William Browne, Esq. Residing in the District of Appin from July 1816 to April 1823, and Edward Gray of the district of Liverpool from April 1823 up to the present date. Signed: Thos Moore, Resident Magistrate. I do not know anything to the prejudice of this man. Robt Cartwright, Resident Clergyman. Wm. Browne, First Master Edward Gray, Second Master.
Last week the following convicts were removed from the castle of Lincoln for the Captivity transport ship at Portsmouth harbour, viz. John Addy, Richard Billett, Edward Atkinson, Robert Pollard, Francis Chappel, alias Turner, William Johnson, Robert Fox.and W. Chapman, to be transported for their natural lives; and J. Blisset, George Wilkinson, John Sampson, and Wm. Webb for the term of seven years each. Hull Packet, 5 Sept 1815.
