John Post was transported on the Henry, departing 31st Mar 1823 and arriving 26th Aug 1823 with 161 passengers.
Henry 1825. The ship Henry, Captain Ferrier, arrived at Hobart Town, on the 9th ult. with 79 female prisoners, all whom were landed with the exception of two. There were also on board 25 free women, and 33 children, who came out, at the expence of Government, to join their husbands and parents. Sydney Gazette, 3 Mar 1825.

John Post was the father of John Post per 'Marquis of Huntley' 1826. Colonial Secretary Papers; POST, John. Per "Henry", 1823 1823 Aug 29: On list of prisoners landed from the "Henry" and forwarded to Minto for distribution (Reel 6011; 4/3509 p.136) 1824: On list of assigned servants mustered in the employ of William Howe of Minto; in 1823-24 (Reel 6062; 4/1781 p.393a) 1824 Jun 9: On list of convicts employed by William Howe of Minto (Fiche 3093; 4/1837B No.475 p.823) 1825: On list of convicts mustered in the employ of William Howe; in 1823-25 (Reel 6064; 4/1789 p.75b) 1825 Nov 30: On list of convicts in the service of William Howe of Glenlie at the last two musters (Reel 6016; 4/3516 pp.54-5) 1828: Wife Martha (Martha Ann Pearson), and his children arrived NSW per 'Borneo'. 1829/30/31/32: Ticket of Exemption from Govt Labor - with his wife Martha. 1833: TOL After John Snr. finished his sentence the family moved to Albury. 19/7/1853: John died, aged 73 at Mullanjandra NSW (near Albury). Wife Martha died in 1898 at St Peters, NSW.
