In the colony, William had a de-facto relationship with Mary Madden (Convict, Anne, 1801). This relationship must have commenced about 1813. Prior to this time, Mary had a relationship with Thomas Ambrose (Convict, Scarborough, 1790) and had several children by him. Mary and William had 1 child, George Reynolds, born 1814.
