Convict Notes
On his release he relocated in Singleton where he met and married an Aboriginal woman, whose name has not been confirmed. They had several children including the eldest son Joseph
Richard Jackson was an Indoor Servant and was convicted of stealing linen. He was convicted at Chester City Quarter Session on 11 Jan 1838. He was able to read and write. He was 5’43/4†tall had a dark sallow complexion, brown hair, bluish eyes and a scar on his right cheek. Richard served his sentence in Port Macquarie and received his ticket of leave on 7 March 1846.
