DEATH: Isaac Rogers died, aged 69, while a prisoner in Hobart Jail of "disease of the heart", according to the Coroner's Inquest held on 5 August (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/SC195-1-59-7996).

Isaac was convicted again, in the Colony of VDL - under name "Rogers" on 07/01/1848 at Launceston for uttering a forged note. Life sentence. 1848 Personal Details: Protestant; labourer; 5'4"; 34yrs of age' fresh complexion' brown hair; brown eyes; single man. Native Place of birth: Ekes, Derby, England. 3yrs Probation. To Port Arthur Penal Settlement 17/03/1848. To Norfolk Island 28/07/1848. To Prison Barracks Hobart 14/05/1850. 1850: St. Peters Pass & New Norfolk, VDL. 1851: Tunbridge, Campbell Town, Launceston, VDL. 1852: Longford, VDL. 1853: Meritorious conduct in assisting to apprehend absconder John Hughes. 1853: Cascades, south Hobart at the mill of C. DeGraves. 1854: a Constable at the Coal Mines 09/10/1855: Ticket of Leave 1865: Invalided due to pulmonary consumption. 1866 - 71: Port Arthur 1878: Hobart Conduct Record has notes of misconduct and other offences.
