Joseph Round was listed as 30 years old on arrival in VDL. Native Plae: Birmingham, Warwickshire. Transported for 'stealing a rod of iron from my master'. Occupation: Engine smith. Joseph was 4'11¾" tall, brown to red hair, no whiskers, fresh complexion, brown eyes, stout made, slightly freckled, married with 3 children, reads and writes a little. Wife: Charlotte Father: Joseph Mother: Mary Brothers: John, Adam, Emanuel, George, Benjamin, Richard. Sister: Rachael. 27/10/1853: Free Certificate - himself (working for himself). No marriage found. 21/11/1889: Joseph died at the New Town Pauper Establishment, aged 69 years, a labourer - he dies of Brain disease and Senilis. Buried at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery.
