Dublin Morning Register 14 March 1827: 'LONGFORD ASSIZES ...Bryan Ruein (sic) and James Cox were tried under the Whiteboy Act, for administering an unlawful oath, the purport of which was, to be ready to take up fire arms. They were sentenced to transportation for life.'

DOB 1799. --------------------------------------------------- Colonial Secretary's Office, Sydney, 24th November, 1845. PARDON. HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified, that the Right Honorable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has transmitted in his Despatch of the 30th June, 1845, No. 68, a Free Pardon which Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to grant to James Cox and Bryan Roveen, both by the ship 'Eliza’ 3.
