Ellen Shea was indicted for stealing, at Carrick-on-Suir, 30£, the property of Michael Gallaher. Guilty, and on being sentenced to transportation for seven years, she exclaimed, “thank you, Sir; I am much obliged to you” ; Limerick Chronicle, 4 April 1827.
