Thomas Street, master of the "Sinbad", permitted to employ for the procurement of cedar at Port Stephens; name crossed out (Reel 6009; 4/3505 p.148) -------------------------------------------------- 1828 Census index. Dennis Stacey, age 57, C.P. Atlas, 1792, Life, protestant, Sawyer & Tenant, Botany Bay district. Has 30 acres of land, 8 of which are cleared. ------------------------------------------------- NOTICE.-Looking at an advertisement in the Sydney Gazette, of September the 25th, I perceive a Farm advertised to be sold, known by the name of Stacey's Farm, at a place called Bank s Town, I now hereby caution the public in general not to purchase the said Farm, it being my property, as I never sold or transferred any part of it to any person whatsoever. I further caution the Public in general against either purchasing or trespassing upon the said Farm, either by stock or cutting of timber, as 1 will prosecute any so offending after this date, as the law directs in that respect.
