William was 21 years old and was transported for 'Stealing a coat:. William was 5'5" tall, could read and write, single. 17/8/1852: TOL 12/4/1854: Free Certificate - Morven. 2/5/1854: Passenger Launceston to Melbourne. 11/5/1854: Passenger Launceston to Melbourne - Ship to Colony 'Blenheim 1850' Free by servitude.

Born at Blackburn, Lancashire to John Stirzaker and Nancy Livesesy. He had 2 older sisters;Betty & Jane and an older brother James (1821-1849) plus two younger brothers named Henry; One (1831-34, the other Henry Stezaker (1835-1885). Family name spelled many different ways. William was said to have corresponded from Australia to England with his brother, Henry, and, after his death, with Henry's son, William Stezaker. Once given a certificate of Freedom (12/04/1854) he is said to have participated in the ongoing Australian Gold Rush. He supposedly married the daughter of a miller and had a family.
