On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 22 March 1834 had daughter Susannah Green to James Green (Ship?), whereabouts of child unknown. 21 Mar 1836 had son George King to George King (Circassian), whereabouts of child unknown. 15 April 1837 George Challoner applied to marry her, permission not given. 14 April 1940 Thomas Dagnall (Manlius) applied to marry her, permission not given. 18 Jan 1843 James King (Circassian) applied to marry her, permission not given. 21 Jun 1843 James King applied again and permission granted. 24 Jul 1843 married James King. Died in Collingwood, Victoria.
Elizabeth Studham was the one female of about 475 Swing Rioters, convicted for ARSON, MACHINE BREAKING, RECEIVING, or RIOTING, transported to Van Diemen's Land (VDL, now Tasmania) or New South Wales from 18 Counties of south east England 1831-33. Born 1810 in Monkton in Kent she was convicted for setting fire to an outhouse
