Friday. Charles Warlock, Jeremiah Taylor, and John Thomas, were indicted for stealing a ham and two pieces of bacon, the property of William Whitbread. The prosecutor, who is a bacon curer, lodged at the coach and horses public house, Gloucester-lane, and the prisoners, who went in there to drink, took the opportunity of stealing the property. Guilty. Seven years’ transportation. There were other indictments against each of the prisoners, but by leave of the Court no evidence was offered. Bristol Times, 16 Apr 1842.
