Thursday last, the Lord Lieutenant held a Council, when a Proclamation was issued offering a Reward of Two Thousand Pounds for the conviction of the murderers of Daniel Mara, a brother of the person who convicted Philip Grace, for the murder of Richard Chadwicke, Esq. The Proclamation appears in our advertising columns. Limerick Chronicle, 6 Oct 1827. Judge Moore has fixed Thursday for the trial of John Keogh, Thomas Keogh, Patrick Keogh and Michael Teacey, charged as principals in the murder of Daniel Mara. Besides those, there are 12 or 14 to be tried for a conspiracy to murder Mara; and a strong belief prevails of their conviction. Limerick Chronicle, 5 April 1828.
