Built at Harwich in 1811 a square-rigged transport ship of 443 tons and copper lined she had two decks with a height between decks of 5 ft. 8 ins. In 1818, she had a major refit increasing the decks (and convict carrying capacity) to three. She was owned by the London firm of F. & C.F. Mangles.

Charged with house-breaking and found guilty of the lesser offence of stealing only. (House door was latched, no conclusive evidence of a forced entry but accused was caught two miles away with clothing taken.) One of the witnesses says he had returned from transportation a few months earlier but this doesn't go further and the sentence is milder than the string of death sentences handed down for cases earlier in the session.
