County of Antrim Assizes, Alexander Vernon, for stealing two sheep, the-property of Robert Morton -Prosecutor stated that on the 5th of this month  two sheep were taken from his yard beyond Castlereagh -he saw them next morning in the police-office. William Dunn,  a watchman—Saw the prisoner between four and five in the morning with two sheep which he was driving; took him and the sheep to the police-office ; saw last witness same morning, who claimed the sheep; when he examined the prisoner he gave contradictory accounts of the manner in which became possessed of the  sheep- Guilty. Belfast News-Letter, 14 Aug 1829.
