John Watkins was 13 years old when convicted, along with Matthew Sellers (Larkins to VDL) and John Sellers, transported under the name of William Sellers (Larkins to VDL) for stealing 1 shirt, value 15s., the goods of Ann Wright. John was 16 by the time he arrived in NSW. 29/11/1832: Boy. Assigned to James Grigg, Jerry's Plains. 18/1/1839: COF John was 5'6" tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes. 2/7/1844: Married Ann Frazer (B1817) at Coolringdon near Cooma. They had 8 children. 9/4/1884: John died at Middlingbank near Cooma and is buried at Gegedzerick Cemetery. He was a farmer at the time of his death.
