1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Charles Richard Wilson worked as a tailor as well as a publican. He married Emma Mayner (also a convict) in 1838 and they settled in Maitland district where they went on to have 9 children. He was given a conditional pardon on 1 Oct 1840, having been granted a Ticket of Leave sometime prior to his marriage. He was born at an unknown date in 1810 (baptism date was 29/7/1810).
