John Wilson was transported on the Henry, departing 31st Mar 1823 and arriving 26th Aug 1823 with 161 passengers.
Henry 1825. The ship Henry, Captain Ferrier, arrived at Hobart Town, on the 9th ult. with 79 female prisoners, all whom were landed with the exception of two. There were also on board 25 free women, and 33 children, who came out, at the expence of Government, to join their husbands and parents. Sydney Gazette, 3 Mar 1825.

The following persons have been indicted to stand trial at the ensuing Circuit Court, at Ayr, on the 20th and 2lst Sept. current : John Wilson, Glasgow, theft; ... Glasgow Herald, 6 Sep 1822. Circuit Intelligence. Ayr, Sept. 20. John Wilson, boy of only 14 years of age, but an old offender, was charged with stealing twelve guinea notes from the pockets of John Smith, while at Ayr horse market, July last, pleaded not guilty. It appeared from the evidence, that a farm servant having sold a horse in the market, put the price of it, into his pocket which was shortly after ... by the prisoner, but being observed by a weaver who was on the lookout for suspicious characters, he immediately seized the prisoner and had him committed to prison, when the money was found in his possession. The Jury, without retiring, returned a ... verdict, finding the pannel Guilty of the crime libelled. After a suitable and animated address from the Lord Justice Clerk, he was sentenced to be transported for 14 years, and left the bar with a look of the most perfect indlfference.
