Family connections for Jane (Wingfield) are: WINGFIELD Jane (Wingfield/Wood/Winfield) was born about 1805 & became a servant. She was tried for uttering false notes probably at Old Bailey, sentenced to 14years, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 1 1822 after a voyage of 7months on PROVIDENCE. She was sent to the Government Agricultural Establishment Emu Plains on 1 5 1822 & lived with the overseer David (Miffin)-her first relationship. She was discharged at her own request, due to cruelty by David (Miffan his first relationship), on 10 2 1823; she was sent to the (Female?) He was living at New Vennel High St Glasgow Lanarkshire Scotland when he was tried with his brother Andrew & 3others for shopbreaking & theft at Glasgow Court of Justiciary in September 1818, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 1 9 1819 after a voyage of 4months on CANADA. He was appointed, as (Miffen), as overseer of Falling Gangs at Emu Plains. He was issued his Ticket of Leave on 12 2 1824 & his Certificate of Freedom on 6 10 1825. He was recorded on 1 11 1825 as overseer at Government Establishment Newcastle & had been granted land. He was recorded in 1828 as labourer employed by Eben (Knox). He married secondly Phoebe/Phebe (McQueen/M'Queen her first marriage) in 1835 in Hunter/Maitland district.] [Some details taken from this Website] .. >>>Jane (Winfield) married secondly at age18 George (Fieldhouse) shoemaker on 10 8 1823 at St Peters CofE Campbelltown, lived at Cowpastures & produced at least 4children. She was issued her Certificate of Freedom no.35/384 on 22 4 1835. She produced at least 4children in her lifetime. George (Fieldhouse) was born in 1805. He married at age18 Jane (Winfield age16 her second marriage) on 10 8 1823 at St Peters CofE Campbelltown; he was a shoemaker & they lived at Cowpastures. He was recorded in 1826 as a shoemaker & in 1829 & 1830 as a settler. He died on 23 1 1869 age about63.
