He married Sarah Ann Moore in 1853 - St David's Cathedral in Hobart. Sarah was also a Convict who was born in 1833 in Oxford and was transported on the, "CADET" in 1848, arriving in Hobart. She died in 1887 in Bendigo, and is buried in the White Hill's Cemetery. Thomas Woodfield died in 1889 at Mount Korong, Victoria and is buried in the C of E Section in the Wedderburn Cemetery - Victoria. Grave No - 232.
