Bedford Assizes, Gutley Blackhorn, for stealing a sheep and a sack, at Houghton Regis, ... Norfolk Chronicle, 29 March 1817. At Bedford assizes, Gutley sheep stealing; John Hervey, Joseph Chapman, John and William Swales, for house breaking, were capitally convicted and received sentence of death, but were afterwards reprieved ; Northampton Mercury, 22 March 1817.
