Sugar Cane, was a 403 burthen ton merchantman and convict ship that was dispatched in 1793 from Ireland to Australia. She was launched in 1786 upon the Thames River. Under the command of Thomas Musgrave, she sailed from Cork, Ireland, on 12 April 1793, with 110 male and 50 female convicts. During the voyage a mutiny by the convicts was put down and a convict executed. She arrived at Port Jackson, New South Wales on the 17 September 1793. The Sugar Cane left Port Jackson for Bengal in late 1793.

Family connections for Daniel (Brady) are: An amendment added Jun 2025. BRADY Daniel (Brady) was born about 1768. He was tried for burglary at Dublin Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 17 9 1793 after a voyage of 5months on SUGAR CANE. He was Free by Servitude by 1808 & had a relationship with Ann (Hambleton) whom he married in 1833. He was a landholder when he died in 1847 age79 at Campbelltown. She was tried at Lancaster Quarter Sessions Lancashire, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 11 3 1803 after a voyage of 6.5months on HMS GLATTON. She was Free by Servitude by 1808.
