Eleanor Mary had a defacto relationship with Thomas Cowling (Convict, 1792, "Pitt") from about 1794. The couple had 2 children; Jane 1795 and Sarah 1796. Eleanor was a victim of the 1806 Hawkesbury Flood, This was reported in the Sydney Gazette, 30th March 1806. Thomas did remarry, sometime later, to Elizabeth Buller (Convict, 1796, "Indispensible"). The two little girls, Jane and Sarah survived the flood which had taken their mother. Much later, Jane married David Hawkins (Convict, 1801, "Earl Cornwallis") and Sarah married Edward Allen (Convict, 1806, "Fortune").
