The Assizes for the county of Devon ended on Saturday ? at the Castle of Exeter when the following prisoners were tried and received their sentence, viz.— … David Douglas, for assaulting and robbing Susannah Bickford on the King's highway; … were all capitally convicted, and received sentence of death, two are since reprieved, but the others are left for execution.
