The Hooghley was built in London in 1819. Convicts were transported to New South Wales on the Hooghley in 1825, 1828, 1831 and 1834. 1831 Voyage - Hooghley. Shipping; Intelligence. ARRIVALS. From Cork, on Tuesday last, whence she sailed the 24th June last, the ship, Hooghley,309 tons, Captain Reeves, with- 184 female prisoners. Honora (pcug has her name as Honor) Geary was 23 years old on arrival, her native place was Galway. Honora arrived with her daughter, Helena Goodwin/Goodman, who was born in 1827. Her father is listed as Martin Goodman. Honora also had another daughter born about 1831. Honora was 4'11" tall. 17/4/1835: Married William Bagnall (Albion 1826) 19/10/1835: Sentenced to 5 years for Larceny. 18/12/1842: Unknown sentence. Between 1836-39 Honora was at Moreton Bay. 25/3/1843: COF 10/6/1868: Died at Bathurst from stricture of the oesophagus.
Unable to read or write. Initially sent to the Female Factory, Parramatta. Married by Rev Samuel Marsden at St John's, Parramatta. Three children, William, Sarah and Samuel (died soon after birth, buried in Glebe cemetery, Maitland). Worked in Ballynahinch Castle, Connemarra before transportation.

She married William (Bagnall) on 17/27 4 1835 at Parramatta & produced 3children. She was tried for larceny on 19 10 1835 & sentenced to 5years which she served at Moreton Bay Penal Settlement arriving in 1836 & leaving in 1839. She was again sentenced on 18 12 1842. She was issued a Certificate of Freedom on 25 3 1843. She died on 10 6 1868 age59 at Bathurst of stricture of the oesophagus mother of perhaps 5children. He was tried w/1other for highway robbery, in December 1825, & stealing leather pocket book of William (Priestley) of Coal Aston Derbyshire at York Spring Assizes on 18 3 1826, sentenced to death reprieved to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1827 after a voyage of 5months on ALBION. He was issued his Ticket of Leave on 18 11 1837 & his Certificate of Freedom on 27 2 1843.
