1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

Convict Notes
George Easton was born in Edinburgh, Scotland between 1807 and 1809, but by 1833 he had moved to Southwark. He married Mary Ann Seabrook on 10 January 1833 at Saint George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey. He had a child George Andrew Easton who was born 23 June 1834. George appeared in the Central Criminal Court and was sentenced on 26 October 1835 to 7 years transportation for stealing lead from his master. He was transported on the ship, Henry Porcher, which departed London on 14 July 1836 and arrived in Van Dieman's Land on 15 November 1836, a journey of 103 days. On arrival, George was reported 29 years of age having been born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was 5 foot 8 inches tall and was a plumber and painter by trade. He had a fresh complexion, with dark reddish hair, dark brown whiskers and brown eyebrows. His eyes were grey in colour. His head was oval shaped, with a high forehead, a medium length nose, a medium width mouth and a medium length chin. He did not have any marks or tatoos
