Convict Notes
George Pedley was 18 years old on arrival in VDL. His occupation was a "Locksmith" and he was transported for 'Stealing a pistol from Mr Blower'. George was 5'1 3/4" tall, hazel eyes, red hair, fair complexion, single, protestant, and could read. Station of Gang:Port Cygnet 27/6/1846: Hobart 28/7/1848: To Norfolk Island 7/9/1852: PB 23/7/1846: Tried at Hobart for Buggery - To be hanged. Commuted to transportation for life, to be sent to Port Arthur for 4 years, 14/8/1846. A lot of bad conduct at Port Arthur, then sent to Norfolk Island, bad conduct record there too. 10/11/1852: Back from Norfolk Island 28/11/1854: TOL - revoked 12/8/1856: TOL 26/8/1856: CP. No date of death found.
Was also imprisoned for 2 months and whipped at age 14 in 1841
