Text type Trial account Defendants HENRY BROOKS Offences Deception > Forgery Session Date 27th November 1837 Reference Number t18371127-57 Verdicts Guilty > Pleaded guilty Punishments Transportation 57. HENRY BROOKS was indicted for feloniously forging and uttering an order for the payment of 28l. 19s. 6d., with intent to defraud George Minter; to which he pleaded GUILTY . Aged 24.—Strongly recommended to mercy by the Prosecutor, being rather lame, having lately lost his father—and his mother, having a large family.— Transported for Seven Years.
