Mary had been in the ship's hospital for most of the voyage, suffering from pleurisy. 26/7/1818: Mary Holden married George Hindle at St. James's Church. C1819: daughter Elizabeth was born. 10/1/1822: Son, Abraham was buried. 17/12/1823: Son, Robert was buried, aged 1. Sep. 1827: Assigned to the Nicholson family as a laundress. 1831: TOL. 1835: TOL. 1838: Absconded - caught and sent to the Parramatta Female Factory. 1840: Assigned to Thomas Ryan as a laundress - again absconded and returned to the Female Factory. 21/8/1841: Mary Hindle died - took her own life at the Parramatta Female Factory. Husband George had died one year earlier.

Possibly from Haslingden, Lancashire. We have a Mary Hindle Centre here, named after a transportee. Her history is very similar to our Mary Hindle.
