James Cable was transported on the Henry Porcher, departing 1st Aug 1836 and arriving 15th Nov 1836 with 261 passengers.
1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

Convict Notes
James Cable was 30 years old when tried for stealing a turkey and 4 fowls, from Mr Flake from Saxmunden. James was 32 by the time he arrived in VDL, and was 5'3 1/4" tall, had dark hazel eyes and dark brown hair. James was single. 10/1/1837: Nichols/Drunk - 1 month hard labour and returned to the Government. 2/1/1841: TOL 4/3/1841: Insolence - 6 months hard labour. 7/9/1842: Drunkeness and in a Public House after hours - fined. 6/1/1843: COF 16/3/1874: James died and was buried in the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, in the paupers section. I could not find a marriage or children for him.
