CRIMINAL COURT The calendar contains 98 cases for trial. The following is a brief summary of those tried on Tuesday. John Hayes, about 33 years of age was convicted of having stolen, in the month of November last, a sheep, the property of Mr. W. Goulding, of Roughway; and sentenced to be transported for life. Dover Telegraph, 19 Mar 1836. -------------------------------------------------- The undermentioned convicts were last week removed from the county goal and put on board the Fortitude hulk, at Chatham :—James Thurthill, John Sawyer, John Hayes, William Sawyer, John Andrews, James Dabin, and Joseph Bennett, transported for life. - John Reuben, Charles Brisley, and John Smith, transported for 14 years.—James Taylor, James Scott, Charles Choat, and Timothy Reardon, transported for 7 years.
