HO 17/39/174[1827] 1 collective petition (59 people of Stockport, Cheshire) on behalf of John Partington, weaver convicted at the Chester Lent Assizes in 1827 for uttering forged notes. The prisoner is held in the Castle of Chester gaol. Grounds for clemency: the prisoner has 3 young children to support and the prisoner is of previous good character.
