Convict Notes
John Robinson was born in Norfolk, England in 1799. He was described as being swarthy, with 5 scars behind his left ear. In 1835 he receives a ticket of leave. He married Sarah Ann Murray, in the year 1836 in the Church of England, Bathurst NSW where they both worked on Thomas Icely's property in Carcoar. 1841 - 1st child John born - Bathurst 1842 - 2nd Child Sarah born - Bathurst 1843 - 3rd Child James born - Kelso 1848 - 4th Child William born Carcoar 1857 - John (jnr) dies age 16 from Gunshot wound whilst hunting for ducks, his gun explodes in his hands causing his death. (Reported in 'The Bathurst Free Press and Mining Journal) 1865 - John Robinson (Snr) dies age 86
