Joseph Lapworth was 20 years old on arrival. Native Place: Bristol. Occupation: Painter. Joseph was illiterate, protestant, single, 5'6" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, brown hair, hazel grey eyes, man, woman, flag, bottle on upper, man, angel, JL and anchor on lower right arm, crucifix upper, womal ML, heart pierced with two darts, fish and crown lower left arm, small mole left side of neck. 1848: Married Isabella Smith at St Lawrence's, Sydney. Children: 1851: Sarah J 1854: Joseph - died 1854. Sarah J also had a Joseph T Lapworth, born 1869 at Glebe, NSW - Husband was Theodore Dubber, they had five sons and 1 daughter. 1885: Joseph Lapworth died at Parramatta, aged 68. 1872: Isabella died Sydney (born 1833 in the colony) - parents Francis (**4th Foot of the King's Own Regiment) and Isabella.




Joseph Lapworth married Isabella Smith in 1848 at St Lawrence's C of E Church Sydney. Their daughter Sarah J Lapworth (1851) married Theodore Dubber 1869,Sydney.
