Native place of birth: Liverpool, England. Aged 14yrs when first transported. 4'4" height; brown hair; Hazel eyes. Assignments in the Colony of VDL including being at Port Arthur Penal settlement. Numerous records of misconduct and subsequent punishments. Free by Servitude. Returned to England. Returned to Sydney as a seaman on the ship "Britannia". 10 May 1842: Tried at Sydney, NSW - stealing a watch, in Sydney. (Free by servitude) Further 14 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land per the ship 'Marion Watson'. 22 Jan 1845: Tried at Hobart, VDL - Assault and causing bodily harm. Death sentence, commuted to Life. To be sent to Norfolk Island (off the east coast of NSW) for 4 years. 12 Oct 1846: Executed at Norfolk Island (ref. Convict Conduct Record)
