Significant because it was the first ship to bring all female women to the Colony.

Eleanor Watson arrived on Norfolk Island aboard the Surprize in August 1790. In June 1794 Eleanor Watson was recorded as a convict, unmarried, off stores with no children supported by Henry Hathaway, settler. Henry Hathaway arrived as a convict on the 'Alexander' 1788 and arrived Norfolk Island aboard HMS Sirius, 14/3/1790. 1805 Eleanor Watson: Women from expired sentence, off stores, Matron of the Orphans School. Henry and Eleanor left Norfolk Island aboard the Lady Nelson bound for VDL on 14/2/1808. 1811 Henry Hathaway: Abode: Hobart. 1811 Eleanor Watson: Abode: Hobart. On many websites Henry and Eleanor are listed as having died in September 1820 - however, on https://librariestas.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/client/en_AU/all/search/results?qu=henry&qu=hathaway# (Libraries Tasmania) their death entries list them as having died in September 1828. Eleanor was buried at St Davids, Hobart on 12/9/1828 and Henry was buried on 3/9/1828. Eleanor was listed as Helen Hathaway.
