6/11/1845 Worcester Journal, England: On Wednesday afternoon last, police officer Gilholy, in searching the house of an old offender, named William Francis, discovered, concealed in his bed-room, a quantity of beef, raw and roast, and part a hind quarter. William Francis was 32 years old on arrival in VDL, he was transported for ‘Housebreaking and stealing beef’. William was 5’4 ½” tall, can read and write, single, protestant, ruddy complexion, black hair, dark brown whiskers, grey eyes, pock pitted, mole on right wrist, lance mark on right arm, W.F.E.N. on left arm below elbow.
