Convict Notes
Michael Jordan, Elisabeth and William Jordan, (by J. C. Cobbold, Esq.) charged with having the 24th of August, feloniously assaulted Peter King, and stolen a canvass and 9s. from his person. Suffolk Chronicle, 8 Sept 1832. Michael Jordan, 17, William Jordan, 21, and Elizabeth Bidwell, 31, were found guilty of stealing from the person of Peter King, one canvass purse, and 9s. in silver. the two former were sentenced to 14 years transportation, and the latter to 12 months solitary confinement. Ipswich Journal, 16 Mar 1833. Tuesday last the following convicts were removed from the above Gaol, and put on board the Leviathan Hulk, Portsmouth, viz.: Wm. Jordan, Michael Jordan, and James Bidwell, for 14 years each; Benjamin Nunn and Wm. Parker for 7 years each. Ipswich Journal, 23 March 1833.
